4 Tips To Finding Cheap Daybeds

by Sadie A Peterson

Whether you have a space that needs to be spruced up, or you need more sleeping space in a small house, a daybed might be exactly what you need! Most of us don’t have the money to throw around when it comes to furniture, but that doesn’t mean that we are entirely without options.

Cheap daybeds can be either cheap in quality or cheap in price so there are several things to keep in mind. Daybeds are already an extremely versatile piece of furniture so if you can find suitable discount daybeds, that’s even better. Check out the following ideas for locating affordable daybeds.

1. Keep Your Options Open

To avoid possible disappointment when your “perfect” daybed doesn’t fit your budget, begin your search with a list of features you feel you need or want in the daybed. What kind of frame, what color, what type of trundle?

Be willing to compromise if necessary and be aware that more than one kind of daybed will look great in a given space. You can always enhance the look of a more affordable daybed with attractive bedding. When you are looking at cheap daybeds, remember to keep your options and your mind open!

2. Surf The ‘Net

When you are looking for cheap daybeds, you should also remember to look online. Many companies and furniture stores will now have their inventory on an online location, and you can figure out what your options are. You’ll also find that there are occasionally discounts for shopping online.

Not seeing exactly what you’re looking for? Try contacting the store owner via email or phone and ask if they have more than what’s offered online. When comparing daybed prices, though, keep in mind that some stores offer free shipping while others don’t.

3. Consider Clearance Daybeds

One secret to finding your daybed is that a furniture store’s layout may be set up with all the cheaper items at the back. After all, why not put your newer and pricier items where they are more readily seen? Be sure to check the back of the store for better prices when you’re looking for cheap day beds with trundles.

If you want a good deal, sometimes all you have to do is ask! Store owners rarely advertise all their deals but that doesn’t mean they aren’t willing to “talk turkey”. If you’re looking for special considerations, just ask. They’ll either say yes or no.

4. Don’t Rush The Process

You’ll find that if you allow plenty of time for your search that you’ll feel less pressure to buy something that might be more expensive than you prefer. Give yourself a solid week or two to find what you are looking for.

If you have a truck or can rent one, then you will greatly increase your search area. Cheap daybeds can be found although you may need to “go the distance” to get the best deals.
