Disciplining troubled teens must be the hardest part of parenting! the adolescent years are a tough time for both teen and parent. The moodiness, the disrespectful, defiant behavior—who wants to deal with any of that?
As the parent, you must step up to your duty and not let your teenager walk all over you. Many parents feel guilt over discipline, but you should never feel that way. Use discipline as a method for guiding and teaching, rather than just about infractions and punishment. Always maintain your status as parent, the one in control. Do not fight and argue with your kid! Everyone needs to be calm and in control of their own behavior before anything positive can develop.
