Teenage Disrespect
Teenage disrespect is every parent’s worry! The adolescent years are not easy, on either parent or teen, but receiving disrespectful behavior from your teen is hurtful and destructive!
What is a parent to do?
First off, regain your status as parent. Many parents feel guilty disciplining a teen child, but it is exactly what is needed! You can not let your teenager walk all over you and then expect him to miraculously respect you! You must let him know that you will not tolerate disrespectful behavior. Always maintain a firm, yet calm attitude. Nothing constructive will ever get done as long as people are upset and screaming and arguing!
