Stages of Pregnancy

This is a short, simple basic guide for stages of pregnancy (not sure if you’re pregnant? Click here to read How To Know If You’re Pregnant). It will cover the general stages and what happens during a normal pregnancy. Not all pregnancies will progress exactly as indicated in this basic guide for stages of pregnancy, but it should give women who have never been pregnant, and the men around them, an idea of what will occur during the pregnancy. Good prenatal care is important during all stages. It is also helpful if the woman and her partner develop a good relationship with her doctor, who can expand on this basic guide for stages of pregnancy and provide details pertinent to each specific pregnancy.

If you want to learn all the pregnancy symptoms week by week, be sure to click here and visit ePregnancyBlog.com – Lots of great info for the expectant mom!

The first detail in this basic guide for stages of pregnancy is the fact that a normal pregnancy is considered to last for 40 weeks, which is divided into sections called trimesters. Each trimester lasts about 13 weeks. Most people discuss the development of the fetus according to the trimester of development.

Click here to read about first trimester pregnancy symptoms.

Since the changes can be subtle in the beginning stages of pregnancy, many women may not know they are pregnant until they develop morning sickness. Frequently, however, women will think that they are sick and not associate the nausea and the vomiting with a pregnancy. This “morning” sickness can actually occur at any time of the day. It is a result of the changes in the hormonal levels in the woman’s body and, after about the first month, the addition of the hormones produced by the fetus. These hormonal fluctuations can result in some of the food cravings pregnant woman have been known to have, as well as some unexpected and unusual mood swings. Generally, these mood swings become less frequent after the second trimester begins.

In the second trimester of this basic guide for stages of pregnancy, a woman’s body has generally adjusted to the presence of the fetus. The fetus has started to develop its own individual organs and identifiable features. The mother will start a noticeable weight gain. This weight gain is natural but it should not become too fast or too much, especially if it is a first pregnancy. A rapid and considerable weight gain may be the sign of a multiple birth, but it may also indicate problems with the fetus or the mother’s health.

During the last trimester, the fetus has developed all its own organs and most of these organs are functional. At about the 30th week of the pregnancy, the fetus could survive on its own with some technological medical help if it had to be delivered. If delivered at this time, the fetus would, however, be considered a premature birth. Generally, most physicians prefer to have the delivery when the fetus achieves the age of 38 to 40 weeks.

During this last trimester, the woman will feel uncomfortable and cranky because of the pressures applied by the fetus on her own internal organs. She will also have more back problems and probably need to urinate more frequently. She will possibly find it difficult to sleep, which will add to her fatigue and discomfort.

This basic guide for stages of pregnancy has covered only some of the major milestones of an average pregnancy. More accurate and specific detail can be obtained from a frank conversation with the woman’s physician.

How will you like your child to enjoy sound sleep? Good, cozy bedding with an interesting theme. Is not it? Theme could be Disney characters, butterflies, flowers or even plain soothing light color beddings made from sober, soft and good quality fabric.

There is such a wide variety of themes for children’s crib bedding that it takes most people a long time to choose – which is why lots of expecting parents start looking early. Today there are specialized children’s shops and kid’s warehouse both online and off, and all of them have an extensive variety of prices and themes. The possibilities are so wide and varied that it is easy to find yourself torn between several choices of crib bedding.

Even when you make a decision on the main theme, you have an endless amount of other choices to make. Say that you have finally chosen a butterfly motif for your child’s crib bedding – you have only just begun! From there, you have to pick which colors you want, which fabrics you like best, and how much you can afford to pay. Butterflies are beautiful and every individual butterfly crib set is sure to be beautiful, too. Do you want bright, vibrant butterflies or would you prefer softer, soothing pastels? Even when you inevitably narrow your choices down to one or two (or three) crib bedding sets and get close to a final decision, you now have fabric to think about.

It stands to reason that since there are so many different types of butterflies, in so many shapes, sizes, and colors, the fabrics have to match that variety. Fabric used for crib and nursery bedding has to be especially high quality, as well as soft and comfortable. The bedding that your precious child sleeps on is immeasurably important, which is also why expecting parents spend so much time preparing for their new arrival’s clothes, toys, and bedroom.

Butterflies and Disney characters continue to be the main choices for most f the parents. Some others, however, opt for flowers, good simple designs and even plain color fabrics that are smooth, soft and have good texture. Depending upon the choice of parents

Butterfly crib bedding offers popular, charming, and colorful designs. In fabrics like velour and chenille, with color schemes of red and pink, spring green and sea blue, you can get small, bright butterflies, large, vibrantly colored dragonflies, or huge, brightly blooming flowers. If you prefer something subtle and sedate, there are selections of gingham that provide a more sober contrast for the vivid butterflies.

Then there are some designs popular as Sugar plum designs in butterfly crib bedding section. They are known for their nature friendly themes and use variety of fabric or textured fabrics and work on different color schemes on corduroy, plaids, stripes, felt sherpa or other such materials and have immaculate prints depicting nature or floral garden scenes with flowers in pink, plum, green, ivory or even purple or violet colors. The bed sheets, the quilts, bumpers and other accessories so beautifully crafted and color-combined that they become an instant choice at the time of selection.

The entire package is tastefully done and highly appealing. Parents adore the many different butterflies and their companion dragonflies in their bright colors and flower backgrounds. The quality of the fabric used in the crib bedding, sophistication of the design, and the texture of the fabric sets the price for these crib bedding sets. Price shouldn’t matter because you know your child is worth it and the quality of the sets will be enjoyed for many years.

Any colicky breastfed baby is in danger of being changed over to formula because the mother is wondering ‘why is my baby fussy?’ She’s beginning to suspect it might be her milk causing the colic.

My suggestion would be this ‘It’s really not a good idea to change to using formula when you’re successfully breastfeeding. It wouldn’t cure the colic and baby needs the antibodies in your breast milk. Enjoy the fact you can successfully feed your baby yourself.’

Any formula you choose is bound to be inferior to the real thing and wouldn’t be a remedy. It wouldn’t cure the colic. My own colicky newborn got changed over to formula at 6 weeks old and I regretted it afterwards. I was one of many moms who do it hoping it will help.

While you’re feeding baby yourself it’s ideal for effecting a simple and quick cure for all the fussiness. So continue to breastfeed and make sure you learn what you need to do now.

Colicky babies being bottle fed can be helped too.

It might take 2 days or more, not just hours as it is for breastfed babies, as the missing nutrient would be supplied in small doses and then increased if it needed to be.

I really believe there’s just one cause for colic and one home treatment for colic that’s effective. Babies in their hundreds all got quick relief because the same thing caused their colic and so the same treatment cured it.

Much is written about ‘colic causes and cures’ but my learning and experience indicate differently.

Colic seems to have a single cause, otherwise why have hundreds of babies supplied with the same nutrient recovered from colic very quickly? Doesn’t it seem to follow that hundreds more babies would get the same benefit?

Why do so many babies have colic? It seems the newborns are depleted of a nutrient or nutrients they need, hence all the pain and crying. Once that’s corrected colic ceases to be a problem.

The crying babies transform to peacefully sleeping babies quite quickly and easily, but the problem in the first place is with unbelieving parents who find it hard to accept that this can be true!

God’s plan included the ability to nourish babies while in the womb through the placenta and umbilical cord and then out of the womb with fresh, perfect temperature milk for the beginning of their lives, for as many months as we (or baby) wish.

Perfect! Or it should be, so what goes wrong?

Tired of the same old traditional baby shower themes? If you want to celebrate the mom in a stylish, updated dcor, consider using the Mod Mom theme for your shower. It’s a perfect theme to use for a working mom!

Designed by Creative Expressions, the Mod Mom Baby Shower Decorating Pattern can help you plan the perfect event. It puts the focus squarely on the mom, and can help you put together a fantastic event.

Using modern, bright colors, the Mod Mom pattern features a happy, and bright lime green color, with pink, rose, lavender, and pastel blue accents. It features a pregnant mother with an umbrella.

This party supply decorating pattern includes over 20 different items. You will find stationary, paper plates, banners, and other decorations in a well developed line. All are color coordinated, and share the common image pattern.

One of the most useful items in the pattern is a scrapbook kit that uses all the Mod Mom colors and dcor items. The kit includes pages that can be placed in your scrapbook, with places for photos, keepsakes, and mementos of the special day. The 12 inch sheets fit standard scrapbooks.

The color palette of the Mod Mom theme allows you to easily integrate solid color party supplies into the decorations for your event. You can use gender neutral colors, using the greens and lavenders. Or, if you want to tie in “little girl” or “little boy” colors, the pink and baby blue accents can be highlighted.

Using solid color accents and decorations can help keep costs down, while adding excitement and polish to your decorations. Consider selecting a few of the colors of the them to highlight, and bring out with solid color streamers, cutlery, napkins, or balloons.

Make sure you pick up an extra invitation, plate, or napkin to give to your baker. They can incorporate the colors, and the designs, of the theme in the cake (or cupcakes) you are having baked for the shower.

Coordinating flowers into the dcor is a wonderful way to add texture, scent, and class. The lavenders, pinks, magentas, and greens in the Mod Mom pattern can give your florist a wonderful palette of colors to work with.

This up to date and current theme is perfect starting point for any baby shower you might host. The pattern is widely available from on-line retailers, and local party supply stores.

For new parents bringing a baby home, the idea of giving a tiny baby a bath can be frightening. But as new moms and dads you need to be prepared for the new arrival in every way, and this includes the daily ritual of bath time. Once you give your baby a bath once, you will realise it is very easy and nothing to worry about. In actual fact, you will most likely love this daily bonding session with baby.

Is it necessary to bath a baby everyday?

Bath time is very important to babies and parents alike. According to experts, bath time is one of the best times for bonding between parents and their babies. To make sure that you and your baby will enjoy this activity together, make sure that you get your baby all the essential things that he or she needs when taking a bath.

Here is a good checklist of items you should have for your baby’s bath: 1. A good infant bathtub. 2. Washclothes or sponges. 3. Some mild baby shampoo. 4. Soft towels. For your baby I would recommend you use all natural products and products which are mild and gentle on baby’s skin. All baby’s skin is sensitive so you need to take care when using any products on him or her.

Aside from buying baby bath products, you may also invest in a good bath sling for your baby to help keep your baby safe while you give him/her a bath. Note that babies love the water and they tend to wiggle a lot in your hands especially when you are applying soap on their small bodies. To make sure that you do not accidentally drop your baby while giving him or her a bath, use a baby sling.

At first, you may feel really awkward when giving your baby a bath. This is really normal. A lot of first time parents fumble and make a lot of awkward mistakes when giving their babies a bath for the first time. To reduce your anxiety when giving your baby a bath for the first time, ask someone to show you how things are done. If you give birth in the hospital, ask the nurse to show you how to bathe your baby. On the other hand, if you give birth at home with the help of a midwife or a nurse, ask that person to teach you how to bath your baby.

If it’s the first time you have to bath your baby try and enjoy it, it will be something you look back on in years to come with fond memories. Have a second person with you for help and support. Always remember to be safe when babies are near water. Never leave them alone and always support thme gently in the water. Enjoy this precious time with your baby and your baby will be sure to enjoy it too.

Are you interested in airplanes? Are you expecting a new baby – and are you hoping that new baby is a boy? Then you’re in luck! There are many kinds of airplane crib bedding available for your baby boy (or girl), from designs that feature airplanes to those with a transportation motif that includes not only airplanes, but cars, trucks, helicopters, and boats as well. Whichever your pleasure, there is an enormous selection of airplane crib bedding out there for your baby.

When decoration your infants nursery, you will need to decide on a specific airplane motif, and what colors would look good with that particular design. Most airplane crib bedding comes in sets with 4 pieces. There is usually a comfortable and soft comforter, with either the large airplane print or a lot of small airplanes; it may also come with airplane with other transportation vehicles. The comforter will usually fit any average size crib or toddler bed, and may even fit on a child’s twin size bed. Any other size bed will need a full or queen comforter, which must be bought separately.

The airplane crib bedding also includes a fitted sheet which also fits most average-sized cribs. Extra large pockets usually sewn into the airplane crib bedding sheet provides additional comfort and security for your child; the pocket is meant to keep your child warm, snug, and cozy. The airplane crib bedding sheet is printed with tiny airplanes in vivid colors. The purpose of such eye-catching, pleasing pictures is so that your baby will be interested in the colorful airplanes and enjoy looking at them. The airplane crib bedding set comes with a lovely, lively crib skirt covered in airplanes; it will be just as pleasing to your baby’s eye as the colorful airplane crib bedding fitted sheet. The last item in the airplane crib bedding set is a bumper pad. Made with the same materials as the airplane crib bedding comforter, the airplane crib bedding bumper is soft, safe, and usually comes with ties at top and bottom. Like the very material with which it is made, the purpose of these ties is to keep your child safe and secure.

The top manufacturers of airplane crib bedding have designed some of the best and highest quality bedding for your nursery. Names like Lambs and Ivy’s Zoom Zoom Collection, California Kid’s Gold Baron and Red Baron Collections, Doodlefish’s Airshow in 3 and 5 piece Airplane crib bedding sets and Kids Tyson’s Airplane Nursery sets are available in different colors and designs.

In addition to the airplane crib bedding sets themselves, there are also tons of accessories that can be bought to go with it. You can purchase mobiles, decorations, and furnishings that match your baby’s airplane crib bedding to make your child’s nursery look even more pleasing. When it comes to function and decoration, you have your choice of changing table covers, diaper stackers and diaper bags, toy boxes, and pillows.

All of these accessories can continue the airplane crib bedding motif and turn your child’s nursery into an aviation wonderland. Better still, each of these items are easily found in the same stores and online shops as the bedding. You can effortlessly turn your child’s nursery into a high-flying fantasy and instill dreams of flight for your baby at the most affordable prices.

As with all other crib bedding, airplane crib bedding ranges in price from $20 per single piece to as high as $200 for an entire set that has a designer label attached to it. Mid range prices are at $40 to $60 and these are usually the set of four pieces. Individual pieces are nice to have so that you can introduce some variety in what your baby sees every day.

What ever airplane crib bedding choices you make for your child, you will find quality places and great prices in any number of places. You will find brand names and lots of designs online and in stores.

When you purchase a car seat for your child, it’s important to keep up to date on any recalls that might occur. Check the news frequently, and visit those websites that will keep you up on which car seat recalls might be in effect.

But what should you do if the frightening happens, and your child’s car seat is recalled?

First, visit the website for the recalled seat, or call the toll-free number. The manufacturer will likely have a special webpage or phone line set up strictly for the recall.

Whenever there’s a recall, car seat companies won’t mess around. They want to make sure your child is safe. Just follow the instructions you see on the website or hear on the phone line.

When you visit the website or phone the manufacturer, be sure you have the child’s car seat in hand. You might need the serial number or the model name, which will usually be printed in the instruction manual.

You will likely be advised to continue using the seat until a repair kit reaches you. Remember, in almost every case, it is safer for your child to ride in a recalled seat than to ride in a car with no child safety restraint.

Another way to stay on top of car seat recalls for your child’s car seat is to register the seat with the manufacturer when you purchase it. All car seats (like many products) come with a registration card.

Most people just throw these away. When it comes to a product like this, it is important to register it and give the company a way to contact you.

While you can’t do anything to ensure that they won’t send advertisements to your address, you can at least rest assured that you’ll be contacted in the event of a recall.

Remember, just because a car seat has a recall, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad seat. Errors occur in all manufacturing, and when these errors are found in a car seat, the company usually works very quickly to correct them.

If you still have concerns after a car seat recall, talk to someone at the company. They will probably be able to ease your mind, or recommend another course of action.

The next thing you should do when planning your pregnancy is to stop all forms of birth control. This will allow the drastic effect any birth control pills or other hormones to leave your system. Birth control pills can negatively affect your baby’s health, so making sure your body is completely free of any unnecessary substances will help ensure a healthy baby.

It is well known that a woman’s maternal emotions can have an effect on her unborn baby. Anxiety and pregnancy can increase a woman’s risk of miscarriage, pre-term delivery, and giving birth to a baby with low birth weight.

While a certain amount of anxiety during pregnancy is inevitable, high levels of stress and anxiety can have a detrimental effect on both mother and baby and there is growing evidence that high levels can affect children long after birth.

Raw eggs are definitely to be avoided. This of course includes all foods that contain raw eggs. This is because raw eggs may contain salmonella. These products include mayonnaise, Hollandaise sauce and Caesar dressing.

Smoking narrows the blood vessels in the placenta and umbilical cord that delivers oxygen to your unborn baby. When this happens, it limits the quantity of oxygen your baby gets. It can cause low birth weight and other health problems once the baby is born such as chronic wheezing and other lung problems.

The first thing you must do when you find you are pregnant is to visit an obstetrician/gynecologist (OBGYN). They will give you an ultrasound to see how far along you are and whether your pregnancy appears to be normal. This stage is crucial, and it is important not to leave this too late.

BREATHER — As you pause on reading this article I hope it has so far provided you with insightful information related to safe pregnancy. Even if it hasn’t so far, the remainder will, whether your interest is safe pregnancy directly or other related angle such as 17 weeks pregnant, getting pregnant quickly, 33 weeks pregnant, expecting calendar, baby products and maternity calendars.

It is much more beneficial for you and your baby to choose healthful food options. If you are craving ice cream, skip the Ben and Jerry’s and reaches for low fat frozen yogurt. This tastes great and gives you a serving of much needed calcium for you and your baby.

Good skin cleansing is the best way to avoid or treat acne breakouts. Wash your face with a mild cleanser two or three time a day. Don’t wash too often or the skin may become dry, aggravating the problem. A shielding lotion can minimize the loss of moisture, and it won’t wash off. IMPORTANT: Do not take any acne medications or over-the-counter treatments without checking with your health care provider. Some of these are not safe for pregnant women to use.

It would be almost impossible for a pregnant woman to exercise so vigorously for the baby’s brain to be deprived of oxygen. Excessively high body temperature is a theoretical concern. Eighty percent of the energy used to power muscles is lost as heat, so the harder you exercise, the higher your temperature rises. While infections can raise body temperature high enough to damage the baby’s brain, I know of no reports of exercise doing this.

Dangerous sports, of course, should be completely avoided. A labor and delivery nurse reported a young woman coming to the hospital with a fetal demise at eight months gestation. The girl wondered if the cliff diving she had done that weekend had any effect. Clearly, there are physical activities that cannot be safely continued during pregnancy.

Don’t forget that if this article hasn’t provided you with exact Pregnancy Tips For Healthy Child information, you can use any of the main search engines on the Internet, like Ask.com, to find the exact Pregnancy Tips For Healthy Child information you need.

We were thrilled to know that many people found this article about Pregnancy Tips For Healthy Child and other baby name, 35 weeks pregnant, and even christina aguilera pregnant helpful.

LAST THOUGHTS — Lots of people who read this article agreed that it not only helped in their quest for safe pregnancy information but also trouble getting pregnant, heart rate and sex of baby, baby footprints, popular baby names, pregnant belly and other childbirth related information.

Deepak Kulkarni also writes on other information related to safe pregnancy, and related somewhat to baby dolls, baby depot, baby advice, baby born, mayan calendar and birth chart.

This website has many other interesting and helpful articles, tips and information written not just about safe pregnancy but also those somewhat related to c section scar, buy buy baby, pregnant video, baby due date, third trimester and birth.

Your mom has always been there for you, and Mother’s Day is the ideal occasion to show your appreciation for everything she has done for you. Often, mothers are gifted with flowers and a greeting card on this special day. There’s nothing wrong with that, but wouldn’t you like your mother to feel particularly special at least once a year? She’s one of a kind, and she deserves a personal and meaningful Mother’s Day gift basket.

Start by finding a Mother’s Day gift basket that is large enough for all of the things that you would like to include in it. Look for a basket that your mom will be able to use again, over and over. Once you find the perfect basket, you can paint it in her favorite colors and decorate it. Make sure it is completely dry before filling it with goodies.

Start by lining the basket with a pretty napkin or square of colorful fabric. Make sure the color complements your decorations. Add a spiral of coordinating ribbon to the handle of the basket and attach some silk flowers. Your Mother’s Day gift basket will now have a feminine, springtime appearance.

Fill the basket with some of mom’s favorite things. You will need to choose one large item to be the basket’s centerpiece. Place this item in the middle of the Mother’s Day gift basket and position it so that it is stable and will not move or fall over while in transport. This centerpiece could include flowers, a stuffed animal, a meaningful figurine, or even a picture of the family.

Once you have your centerpiece in place, you can then add the other articles. Position the remaining items around the centerpiece in such a way that they complement the centerpiece nicely. The additional items might include some chocolates, a candle, some bath bubbles or salts, or anything else that your mom loves. A special addition to your Mother’s Day basket would be individual pictures of the members of your family. If you’re going all out, slip in a gift certificate to her local day spa.

And lastly, cover your Mother’s Day gift basket with pretty cellophane wrap or a gift basket bag in a floral pattern, and attach a big, beautiful bow. Don’t forget to include a Mother’s Day card to express your love and appreciation. Tape the card under the bow on top of the basket.

Your mother will be delighted when you present her with this striking basket. And it will be doubly special when you tell her that you made it yourself. Those are always the most meaningful presents for a mom.

The arrival of a new baby is an exciting event that is often celebrated with a baby shower. You can make your gift for the new arrival extra special by giving a baby gift basket. This is an adorable substitute for a more traditional gift, and you can let your imagination run wild when it comes to picking out the items for the basket.

You’ll need to decide if you’re going to purchase a baby gift basket already assembled and attractively packaged, or if you’ll make up a homemade basket that can be personalized for the recipient.

Start from Scratch

Making your own baby gift basket is really quite simple. You just need to buy a basic basket and then find various items that you would like to include in it as gifts. This can be a really inexpensive present, especially since you are doing all of the labor yourself, which can take as little as a few minutes.

When selecting a basket, you might want to get a plain one and paint it yourself. For extra impact, find a decorative basket with a baby motif. Use a receiving blanket to line the basket and place your main item in the center. This should be your largest item, for example a teddy bear or bunny. Around this, arrange some smaller gifts. Teething rings, small toys, washcloths and bibs are all good choices.

Or maybe try a bath-time theme. Include some bath toys, a hooded baby bath towel, baby shampoo, soap, and baby lotion. There are so many possibilities.

To package your baby gift basket, get some clear cellophane to wrap the basket in. You can also get gift basket bags that come in cute patterns. Tie it up with a large bow in a pastel shade, and add a greeting card.

Buying a Basket

If you’re short on time or creativity, why not just purchase your baby gift basket. There is a huge assortment of styles available both in-store and online. You can get these at either baby stores or gift basket outlets, and most of them are adorable. Themes range from layette sets to nursery rhymes. Many of these can be personalized.

A baby gift basket is sure to thrill the new mom. Loaded with cute and useful items, it will be appreciated for some time.
